==Career History==
Shorter worked as technical support staff at [[Network Solutions]] from 1999 to 2000. He joined Verisign in 2001 as a Customer Service Supervisor. His job was primarily focused on providing technical integration and implementation support for [[IDN]] [[registrar]]s under the [[.com]] and [[.net]] domain space. He also trained team members, developed knowledge base technical support documentation, and managed [[DNS]] services. He was the team expert on [[Shared Registration System]]s and [[Internationalized Domain Name]]s, and was the primary author of Verisign's EPP Reference Manual.
