Winfried Boeing is the Academic Dean at the International University in Geneva, a financial advisor to CORE on top-level domains, and the founder and owner of Netflyer Information Systems.[1]

Dr. Boeing was educated in Germany and obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Cologne in 1984. He finished his Ph.D. with Magna Cum Laude from the University of Cologne and specialized in Informatics, Economics, and Auditing. [2] He has served as chairman of IAAIA and in several board appointments in IT companies and start-ups. His special areas of expertise include the intersection of finance and IT and engagements in start-up finance.

Career History

From 1984 to 1989, Winfried Boeing Worked as a consultant, software developer, and assistant professor at the University of Cologne. He was then nominated Project Leader for the European ESPRIT-MARS initiative, researching the introduction of smart cards and highly secure office automation systems.

From 1989 to 1992, Boeing worked as the Corporate Auditor at Lufthansa; and in 1993 the International Air Transport Association (IATA) appointed him Head of Finance, and was subsequently appointed Chief Auditor in 1995. He was then responsible for all billing and settlement plans and audits, working with over 120 billion dollars in annual cash settlements.

In 2003, he joined AirCash Holding AG as the CEO of the company; and that same year he founded Netflyer Information Systems, an aviation company.

Dr.Boeing founded ByJets in 2006; and in 2009 Winfried Boeing founded Fairquote Cooperative, a multi-purpose internet-based company.

He has been serving as the Academic Dean of the International University in Geneva since May of 2006.
