"The proposed TLD is a closed registry to be used solely by CIMB Group Sendirian Berhad to develop an online platform that distinctively promotes the applicant’s brand CIMB as the Top-Level Domain Name.

Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, with over 40,000 employees (as of December 2011), CIMB has presence in 14 countries. CIMB has the widest retail branch network across the region and is an indigenous ASEAN investment bank. CIMB operates across ASEAN under several entities. Service levels, branding and reputation are critical to CIMB and its stakeholders."[2]
