.er is the ccTLD for Eritrea. It is managed by the Eritrea Telecommunication Services Corporation (EriTel).[1]

The .er ccTLD was assigned in 1996, however, due to the lack of a stable Internet infrastructure in the country, real domain name operations have yet to begin. As of now, there is no data regarding how many websites use the .er domain extension or if it is even available for public registration. To date, aside from a few designated second-level domains owned and operated by various Eritrean entities, little further use has been reported for the domain extension.[2]
