Anna Romandash is an ICANN Fellow. She has been selected as a newcomer fellow for ICANN61 Meeting in Puerto Rico. In addition, she works as a community manager for Digital Communication Network, a global not-for-profit, which aims to improve the digital skills and expertise of journalists in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Career History

Since 2017, Romandash has been working for Digital Communication Network, a global non-for-profit based in Washington, D.C. The organization aims to promote media pluralism in Eastern Europe and Central Asia as well as improve the digital expertise of the professionals working in the region. Previously, she was a project coordinator at European Youth Press/Orange, a Berlin-based media NGO working in the areas of freedom of expression, media, and human rights.

In addition, Anna works as a journalist in her native Ukraine as well as publishes for English-speaking media in Europe. She has published, among others, at KyivPost, New Eastern Europe, EuroNews, and FairObserver.

ICANN and Internet Governance Participation

Romandash has been selected as a fellow for ICANN61 Meeting. Previously, she was a fellow at SEEDIG Summer School for Youth, focused on Internet-governance issues in Eastern and Southern Europe. She also attended IGF 2017 in Geneva where she was moderating some of the sessions. Romandash was invited to speak during a conference "Digital Watchdogs" in Bucharest in May 2018 on the issues of Internet governance and media. She will also moderate a discussion on digitalization and global media during the Personal Democracy Forum in 2018 in Gdansk.


Anna Romandash has a BA Hons degree from Lviv National University (Journalism, 2014) and a MA in Media Communications from Ukrainian Catholic University (2016). She currently studies Business and Economics at Stockholm School of Economics.
