DK Hostmaster is the organization which manages the .dk ccTLD for Denmark. It was formed in 1999.[1] Its primary tasks are to administrate all the .dk domain names and to secure that Danish domain names can be localized in the DK zone in the internet's address system DNS.[2]

DK Hostmaster is owned by DIFO, the Danish Internet Forum, which determines the strategic and political framework under which DK Hostmaster operates. The members and the board of DIFO represents a wide range of stakeholders from the industry, which includes private and professional internet users as well as the internet providers. This internet community of stakeholders has governed .dk since DIFO was founded in 1999.[2]
