Registration Data Policy IRT
The Registration Data Policy Implementation Review Team (IRT) is an IRT with the goal to assist in the implementation of the Expedited Policy Development Process (EPDP) Team's Phase 1 policy recommendations.[1]
History[edit | edit source]
A pre-IRT was assembled in April 2019 to assist with the implementation planning of the EPDP Phase 1 policy recommendation until the formal IRT was convened.[2] All members of the pre-IRT automatically transitioned to the IRT. A Call for Volunteers for the IRT was published on May 20, 2019.[3]
IRT + IPT[edit | edit source]
The Registration Data Policy IRT was formed along with a Consensus Policy Implementation Team (IPT),[4]. The ITP role was to design and build an implementation plan for IRT review and subsequently for public comment, while the IRT was convened to assist the IPT in implementation of the policy consistent with the Board approved recommendations.[1]
Team[edit | edit source]
The IPT Core Team consisted of 15 people, and the IRT consisted of 39 members.[1]
Outcome[edit | edit source]
The Registration Data Policy was published on February 21, 2024, after four years of work and collaboration between the IRT and the IPT. It went into effect on August 21, 2025, with a transition period for contracted parties from August 21, 2024 through August 20, 2025.[5]
