Simon Knoll
Simon Knoll is a licensed German attorney at BEST Rechtsanwälte / Attorneys ("BestIP"), a law firm based in Frankfurt, Germany. The firm is largely focused on trademarks, designs, copyright and unfair competition law with a strong background in global naming and search projects, especially in the pharmaceutical field. At BestIP, Simon Knoll is mainly responsible for enforcement, litigation and online brand protection. As a member of the Intellectual Property Constituency (IPC) he represents the interests of trademark holders in the process of Internet policy making within ICANN.
Before joining BestIP, he underwent his legal clerkship and worked in several German boutique law firms and a major UK law firm in the areas of IP, competition, information technology, data protection and sports law.
Simon Knoll holds a law degree from the University of Frankfurt/Main, an LLM in Intellectual Property from the University of Turin and the permission to use the German title “certified specialist attorney in the field of industrial property protection” (Fachanwalt für Gewerblichen Rechtsschutz) granted by the regional bar association in Frankfurt/Main. He is a German national and speaks German, English, Spanish and French.
