* From April 2006 to May 2009, Karlene Francis was  Principal Director of Telecommunications at Office of the Prime Minister Jamaica. She was responsible for ICT and telecommunications portfolio of Jamaica including the supervision of the relevant Departments, Agencies and Projects.

She is also responsible for the liaise with donor agencies, notably the [[CDB]], [[CIDA]] and the [[EU]] etc.
