* Also on February 28, [[ICANN]] announced that it would install and operate two new ICANN Managed Root Server (IMRS) clusters in Africa, one of which will be in Kenya. It is ICANN's first-of-this-kind investment in Africa. The clusters will ensure that Internet queries from Africa can be answered within the region and not have to depend on networks and servers in other parts of the world, thus reducing latency and improving user experience. The clusters will also reduce the impact of potential [[DDoS Attack]]s by relying on separate locations and providing higher bandwidth and data processing capacity.
