==Career History==
Nico was a direct ICT Advisor for the office of the President of Paraguay on the topics of demonopolizing Internet service in Paraguay; establishing the Digital TV Standard; creating the ICT Ministry; and drafting the first Paraguayan civil satellite program, which led to the Paraguayan space agency.
Nico founded the [[Internet Society]] Paraguay Chapter and was its first President. He was also the first Paraguayan GAC Representative and organized the first IGF meeting in 2014 as the IGF Regional Initiative Representative. He coordinated the establishment of the CEILAC DNS Center among SENATICS, the Latin American and Caribbean Country Code Top-Level Domain Association, and ICANN.
Nico organized IT events in Paraguay such as the ICANN DNS Roadshow, ISOC Chapter events and projects for developing connectivity in rural areas, providing digital training, IT infrastructure to high schools, and providing Internet connection technology and e-commerce tools to Native Indigenous people in remote areas.
In 2017, he moved to the private sector. In 2022, he resumed his role as the Paraguay GAC Representative at [[ICANN 74]]. At [[ICANN 76]], Nico became the first Latin American GAC Chair.
