My background isn’t tech, so starting at ICANNWiki was at first, somewhat intimidating. By using the site I manage to educate myself on all the moving parts within ICANN and beyond, I was able to grasp some fairly dense subjects. As a bottom-up produced resource (thanks multistakeholderism!), ICANNWiki is a tremendous equalizer for anyone facing barriers to joining the Internet governance community--whether that stems from gender, language or general usability, ICANNWiki makes it easier for newcomers to orient themselves and feel confident in their path forward.

Vivian Hua is the Communications Manager for ICANNWiki, as well as an interdisciplinary artist, writer, and filmmaker who frequently traverses the West Coast. She is fascinated by synthesizing divergent styles, groups, and schools of thought, and this can be found throughout her work, which unifies her interest in the metaphysical with her belief that art can positively transform the self and society.
