Peter Dengate Thrush is a barrister specializing in internet law, intellectual property and competition and the current Chairman of the Board of Directors of [[ICANN]]. He has been serving since being first elected in November of 2007 and was most recently re-elected following the [[ICANN]] Annual General Meeting in December 2010. In addition to his work with [[ICANN]]] he is also well known for his leadership in the ccTLD community having been important to the formation of the Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association ([[APTLD]]) and [[InterntNZ]]; both of which he has served as chair for in the past.
