Before serving as Chief of Staff for the National Institute Of Industrial Property of Chile, Gonzalo was an Associate of Morales and Besa, a law firm based in Chile. In 2001, he served as Senior Adviser on International Affairs, Undersecretary of Telecommunications of Chile until 2007. During his tenure he represented his government on issues related to international trade negotiations and internet governance.
