Prior to joining [[NEXT SA]], he worked for [[SONATEL]] (the Senegalese National Telecom Company) from 1993 to 2001. He served as the Data Network Manager and built the biggest IP-Based network in West Africa.

Mouhamet Diop holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Chemistry from University Cheikh Anta Diop, and a Ph. D. Certificate in Computer Science "Parallelism and distributed Systems" from University of Rennes (IFSIC). He also holds an MBA in Finance from ESSEC (Ecole Superieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales) at Cergy in France in 1993.
