By creating the right kind of moral infrastructure we can have the language to make the arguments as to why an Orwellian society isn't our best choice and we can make that argument in objective terms that link back to the positive evolution of humanity and what that objectively means.

So how can we test objectively to see if humanity is on the right track? There can be many tests. I suggest one of them is Mopre's Law. Computing power doubles every 18 months. What if all of a sudden after some serious change in social structure that computing power quit increasing? If there were no technological reason for that then one might wonder if this were an indicator that we are on the wrong track. That wouldn't of cource be the only and final indicator but is an example of something that should continue on course.
