Dora Boamah is a Programme Manager in charge of Freedom of Expression at the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA). The MFWA is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organisation that works across West Africa to promote and defend freedom of expression (offline & online) and media development. She has been working with the organisation since 2012 and has served in different capacities and on different projects in the areas of research, communications and freedom of expression (offline and online). She has been engaging in several internet governance spaces at the national, regional, continental and international levels and she is passionate about issues of online expression and privacy, as well as the governance of the internet.

Dora is an alumnus of the African School on Internet Governance (AfriSIG) and an ICANN60 Fellow. She has participated in the Ghana, West Africa, Africa and global IGFs where she has advocated for rights-based internet policies, and freedom of expression and privacy issues in general. She has facilitated a number of internet-related sessions and capacity building workshops for freedom of expression and other civil society organisations.
