Daniel is a Systems Engineer with more than 10 years of experience in Information Technology, telecommunications, open source systems, high convergence networks and Internet development.

He has developed for more than 5 years in the Engineering area of NIC Costa Rica, successful projects such as the Costa Rica Internet Exchange Point (CRIX), and participating as a representative and speaker in international groups such as Euro-IX, ICANN, LACNIC, IETF, LAC-IX, LACTLD, among others.

He has also been ISOC Technical Advisor in the MANRS program, leading the area of training and technical development.

Daniel is one of the founding members of the Costa Rica Network Operators Group (CR-NOG) and contact point for Latin America and the Caribbean.

He has an active participation in different regional and international technical working groups, such as IETF and ICANN, with extensive experience in coordinating multidisciplinary international working groups.

One of his priorities has been the development of projects of national impact with the Government and the Private Sector, having participated in the Cybersecurity Commission of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Costa Rica and the Technical Group of the National Code of Digital Technologies, among others.

Daniel is an international trainer in technologies related to internet exchange points, best practices in IXPs, routing, RPKI, DNS, DNSSEC, virtualization and others.
