I am a Lecturer and Ph.D. Candidate in Law and Information Security, in the context of a dual degree program between Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Law School) and Korea University (Graduate School of Information Security). My doctoral thesis focuses on international law on sovereignty and privacy applicable to cross-border law enforcement access to data stored in the cloud, with a particular focus on cybercrime investigations.

As a coordinator of the EU-funded PHAEDRA project on cooperation between data protection authorities, I had opportunities to present at international expert fora, including APEC’s Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities (APPA) Forum, the International Conference of Privacy and Data Protection Commissioners, and the International Working Group on Data Protection in Telecommunications (Berlin Group).

I hold a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the University of Leuven and Tilburg University, where I completed a selective interdisciplinary research programme.
