• Marcela was born in Mexico City.
• She is a Dietitian from Universidad Iberoamericana, Campus Santa Fé, Mexico City.
• Master in Education from Universidad Tecnológica de México, where she became a professor in the undergraduate programs of Nutrition and Nursing.
• She became member of the Mexican Global Network (Red Gobal Mx in Spanish) in 2016, she served as president of the Detroit Chapter for two years and later became Coordinator of the USA and Latin-American Chapters of this Global Network, which represents the highly qualified Mexican professionals diaspora and serves as liaison between the Chapters and Nodes to implement knowledge transfer projects in Mexico.
