Mariana is a Brazilian Law student at the Federal University of Pernambuco and Undergraduate fellow researcher at the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development in Brazil (CNPq). At the Federal University of Pernambuco, she is a member of the Discussing Digital Law, Internet, and Technology extension group. She is also an invited author by the Institute for Research on Internet and Society (IRIS) in Brazil. Her research field is the impact of technology on the privacy and personal data of its users. Mariana presented papers on this matter in conferences such as the Connected Life Conference of the Oxford Internet Institute at the University of Oxford in June 2018. Mariana also attended the Internet Governance Forum 2017 as a Youth Fellow and the ICANN62 as a NextGen Fellow.
