Yazid is a Telecom Engineer with several years professional experience in data transmission networks and IT. He started his career at Benin Telecom SA, the national telecom operator as Transmission Engineer before being in charge of Porto-Novo Transmission Centre, the second most important transmission Centre in the country. Two years later, he joined the Department of Planning and R&D in quality of Junior Transmission Analyst where he contributed to the design of the first 4G LTE network in Benin and the design of the biggest fiber optics project named PDI2T.

End 2014, he reached MTN Benin, the 1st GSM operator and is now mainly in charge of operations in the Ericsson Charging System Sub-System composed of seventy Unix and Linux servers. Yazid is certified CCNA, CCNA Security, ITIL, RHCSA and successfully accomplished several MOOCs covering various domains like IPv6, project planing, design thinking, network measurement and cryptography.

Yazid devotes part of his time to associative activities and Internet Governance: he is part of ISOC Benin Chapter and IGBANET associations and share with people his loves of technology. With other passionate, he participated to challenges like International Space Apps Challenge 2013 and 2014 and won 2013 Fire Africa (EpharmacyNet).

In 2017, he participated to a study on quality of service of DNS services in Benin as part of Benin DNS Forum 2017. In 2018, he driven the process to reactivate ISOC Benin Chapter, was part of the 6th Africa DNS Forum and 20 years of Africa Internet Governance organizing committee. The same year he was also Chairman of the 4th edition of Benin DNS Forum organizing Committee.

Yazid participated to several regional internet governance workshops organized by AfPIF, ISOC, ICANN, AfriNIC. When he is not working, Yazid is enjoying music, watching on TV beautiful cars and bikes documentaries TV or he is just driving.
