ICANN Involvement[edit | edit source]
Wes Hardaker is the RSSAC representative to the ICANN Board starting in October, 2022. He conducts DNS-related research, authors IETF DNS and other standards documents, and is an active advocate for deploying DNSSEC and DANE (frequently running the "DNSSEC For Beginners" session). He and Viktor Dukhovni together give presentations on the current state of DNSSEC during the DNSSEC Workshop and maintain an active set of statistics on the DNSSEC-Tools Deployment Statistics website. He is an advocate for serving a copy of the root zone within every DNS resolver using the RFC8806 specification or his helpful LocalRoot infrastructure.

Wes is a affiliated research representing the University of Southern California – Information Sciences Institute (USC/ISI) as the USC/ISI root server representative in the RSSAC. Wes currently works for Google's Internet Evangelism Team with Warren Kumari and Vinton Cerf.
