On 3rd December 2014, it was reported that Z.com had been sold by Nissan Corporation (which has a series of 'Z' sport cars) to GMO Internet Group, which is one of Japan's leading Internet Service Providers, an applicant for new gtlds and operator of Japan's largest domain registry for $6.8 million. This is the largest reported domain sale since sex.com sold for $13 million in 2010.[1]
