PuntoGal Association is an organization that plans to apply to ICANN for a new TLD, .gal, to represent the Galician community in Spain and abroad. The PuntoGal association was created in 2006 with the goal of creating the .gal domain.[4] Since then, the association has been active in ICANN activities and meetings to better represent their proposal.[5] PuntoGal presented their agenda at the 10th ICANN Studienkreis meeting held in January, 2010, in Barcelona.[6]
