Dot.love is a private, not-for-profit association organised in Brisbane, Australia under Queensland state law. It is also a movement which aims to gather people's support to be able to submit its application with ICANN to distribute .love as a new gTLD.

Activities
Dot.love is concentrating on achieving its objective by doing activities on a three step process:[2]
- Application phase: dot.Love Inc. is currently working to prepare an application to ICANN to be able to distribute the .love domain name.

- Philanthropic phase: The income from its commercial activities will be donated to groups and organisations that share the organizations vision by actively engaging in promoting love by caring for others and working to make the world a better place to live.
