John Kane is the Vice President of Corporate Services at Afilias.[1]
For the last thirteen years, he has worked in the Internet industry, specifically in the areas of domain name management, brand protection and Internet security.
Afilias
Currently, in his role at Afilias, John oversees the continuing expansion of Afilias' product offerings including the Managed DNS Services business and Internationalized (IDN) e-mail.
John was integral in Afilias bid for the .INFO Top Level Domain in 2001, and contributed as the Marketing Task Force Leader; he led initial branding, marketing, and public relations while working for the Corporation Service Company (CSC). He then held a place on the Afilias Board of Directors until 2007.
John spent 7 years facilitating growth at CSC and its affiliate, The Company Corporation, while leading their sales, marketing and branding efforts. More recently, John held an Executive Vice President position at Demand Media and served as president of its subsidiary, eNom, Inc., an ICANN accredited registrar.
