He became program manager of the same company's branch in Germany in 1998. He then moved on to become Service Manager of International Sales of a General Electric Company, Council Bluffs, in Iowa from 1999 to 2000. Thomas has worked at BMW headquarters in Munich from 2001 to 2002. He joined JetBlue Airways Corporation in 2005, which he left in 2006 to serve in the Police Department of Oxnard.
