.fish is a proposed top level domain name (TLD) to ICANN's New gTLD Program. The proposed application succeeded and was delegated to the Root Zone on 21 February 2014.[1]
Registry Operator
- Donuts (Fox Woods, LLC)- A start-up company that filed for a total of 307 domain name strings ang invested $56 million just for application fees. Demand Media will provide back-end registry services. [2] This applicant submitted a Public Interest Commitment, which can be downloaded here.
Private Auction
Donuts won in a private auction the right to .fish, beating out fellow applicant Dot Club LLC. The auction was managed by Innovative Auctions and the winning bid was not disclosed.[3]

Contract Signed
On 12 December 2013 Donuts received a Registry Agreement signed by ICANN for .fish after passing all the required processes needed to become a Registry Operator for the string.[5]
