Bernardo Beiriz is a student of International Relations at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). He was a researcher in the Tutorial Education Programme (PET) of the Institute of International Relations (IRI) of PUC-Rio, developed in partnership with the Ministry of Education (MEC).

In the field of cybersecurity and international relations, he also participated in the 2021 edition of the conference "Governing through crisis. Conflict, crises and the politics of cyberspace" organised by the Hague Programme on Cyber Norms at Leiden University, where he presented the paper "Cybernorms and cyber peripheries - can the process of creating cybernorms be one of inequality production? He has published a paper on the E-International Relations website entitled "Neo and the 'Hacker Paradox': A Discussion on the Securitization of Cyberspace".
