Chris Buckridge is currently a member of the ICANN Board, he was selected by the Generic Names Supporting Organization to serve a three-year term in 2023. His term will expire at the Annual General Meeting in 2026.

Christopher Buckridge functions as an autonomous consultant, analyst, and commentator within the realm of Internet governance and digital policy. His professional trajectory spans over two decades, commencing in 2003 with the Asia Pacific Network Information Centre, and subsequently, he transitioned to the Réseaux IP Européens Network Coordination Centre (RIPE NCC) in 2006. Throughout his tenure at the RIPE NCC, he played a pivotal role in advancing the organization's involvement in public policy and Internet governance. Notably, he collaborated closely with esteemed institutions such as the International Telecommunication Union, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the United Nations.

He served as a member of the Australian government delegation to the WSIS+10 review in 2015. He has been actively engaged in national and regional Internet governance initiatives across the RIPE NCC service region and beyond since 2016 and has served as a member of the EuroDIG Association Board.
