Fred Baker is currently a Cisco Systems representative for BITAG. He joined Cisco in 1994. Working at Cisco, his main areas of interest are related to the improvement of quality of service, routing development, and other issues related to Internet governance. [1] Fred is a prior Chairman of IETF and ISOC.

Fred Baker has been a Fellow at Cisco Systems since 1999. He was also the Chairman for the Operations Working Group for IPv6 at [[IETF]. He is also a member of Smart Grid Interoperability Panel.

Fred Baker was also co-author 30 RFCs and he was an important contributor to a several other RFCs. He was the co-author of RFCs related to quality of service, precedence-based Internet services, RIPv2 routing and other such issues. [4]
