.cd is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). It is managed by the Office Congolais des Postes et Télécommunications (OCPT) according to the IANA database[1], however, the name was changed to Société Congolaise des Postes et Télécommunications (SCPT).[2] .cd was created in 1997 as a replacement for the .zr (Zaire) ccTLD, considering that the name of Zaire was changed to the "Democratic Republic of the Congo". .zr was phased out and eventually deleted in 2001.[3]
