.construction is an active gTLD that was proposed in ICANN's New gTLD Program. The Registry is Donuts (Fox Dynamite, LLC). Their application was delegated to the Root Zone on 14 November, 2013.[1]

Private Auction

It was originally applied for by both Minardos Group and Donuts, though Donuts prevailed in an August 2013 auction for the string, held by Innovative Auctions. The total amount was not disclosed though the 8 total auctions that were cumulatively valued at $9.65 million.[2]

Contract Signed

On 16 September 2013, Donuts received a Registry Agreement signed by ICANN for .construction after passing the Initial Evaluation.[3]

Delegation

.construction was delegated to the Root Zone of the DNS on November 14, 2013, completing the successful application for the string.[1]

Sunrise

The Registry announced that their Sunrise Period for the string would begin 10 December 2013 and end on 07 February 2014.[4]
