Robert is currently the Chief Technology Officer and Research Lead at the Collier Collective, where he supports the team on issues related to public health, harm reduction, privacy, data analysis, and social media.
==Organizational Work==
Robert is also one of the founding directors of [[Privaterra]] - an ongoing project of the Tides Canada Foundation that works with non-governmental organizations to assist them with issues of data privacy, secure communications, information security, Internet Governance and Internet Freedom. He is often invited to speak at events to share the challenges being faced by social justice organizations in regards to surveillance, censorship, and privacy.


Robert Guerra was actively involved in the UN World Summit on the Information Society - being an active member of civil society bureau, the internet governance caucus as well as being the NGO advisor to the official Canadian Government delegation.
Robert is also the founder of Privaterra, a Canadian based company that has worked with private industry and non-governmental organizations such as [HTTP://www.icann.org/resources/pages/ssac-biographies-2020-03-26-en ICANN], [HTTP://www.counterpart.org/ Counterpart International], [HTTP://www.idppglobal.org/ American University's Institute on Disability and Public Policy (IDPP)], [HTTP://citizenlab.org/ Citizen Lab], and [HTTP://www.freedomhouse.org/ Freedom House], on issues related to accessibility, data privacy, digital security, and Internet governance.  


He advises numerous non-profits, foundations and international organizations, including Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility (CPSR), Taking IT Global, [[DiploFoundation]]'s Internet Governance and Policy Capacity Building Programme, The Open Net Initiative, and [[ICANN]]'s [[SSAC|Security and Stability Advisory Committee]].
Robert has participated as a member of the official Canadian delegation at two UN World Summits on the Information Society (WSIS). Robert Guerra is a trilingual policy and research professional trained in medicine and digital rights. He has over 22 years of experience of community building, training, and supporting organizations to leverage technology to enhance advocacy and improve collaboration while protecting privacy.
