The Financial Evaluation Panel assesses every new gTLD application to determine if the applicant is financially capable of maintaining the proposed operations of the new gTLD registry. The panel evaluates the application based on the relevant business, financial and organizational criteria set forth by the Applicant Guidebook. Financial review is performed during the initial evaluation, along with other reviews. Should the panel identify issues that need to be investigated further or clarified, or should the applicant fail the panel's tests, then an extended evaluation can be requested. Ernst & Young, JAS Global Advisors, and KPMG were selected by ICANN in November, 2011, to serve as members of the panel.[1] [2]
