'''Abdelaziz (Aziz) Hilali''' is a Professor at the Moroccan Telecommunications Graduate Institution (INPT) (www.inpt.ac.ma). He graduated from the University of Grenoble, where he earned a PhD in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics in 1987. Following his graduation, he has published a large number of scientific papers and given a substantial number of oral presentations at international meetings. He is currently Deputy Director at INPT in charge of Relations with Companies operating in the Digital sector.  
Mr. HILALI was also the initiator and organizer of a large number of congresses and workshops in Telecommunications, Internet Governance and Information Technology for the benefit of a large array and categories of people interested in Internet. He was also the organizer as Local Host of ICANN meeting in 2016 and 2019 in Marrakech.  


He is actively involved in various government and international internet and IT organizations. He attended the Institut National des Postes et télécommunications and has a distinguished career as an academic, researcher, and government advisor, with a history of publications on many aspects of the internet and telecommunications sciences.  
Mr. HILALI was one of the main founders and is currently Chair of ISOC Morocco, an NGO for the promotion of the Internet and its generalization in Morocco. ISOC MA is the first Moroccan chapter of the Internet Society in Africa and also an At-Large structure within ICANN. Since its creation, Mr. Hilali has organized and led several training seminars and workshops. He is also the founder and president of the Moroccan IPv6 Task Force created within Misoc in 2006.


Aziz Hilali participated in the World Summit on the Information Society and the first [[IGF]] meeting in Athens. He has served on the [[ICANN]]'s [[ALAC]], and participated in other [[ICANN]] meeting and events.
Aziz Hilali has been a member of the Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Committee (MAG) during the period 2009-2013. He is one of the founders and former president of the North Africa IGF (NAIGF), he participated in the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) and in the various meetings of the Internet Governance Forum.  
 
He has also served in Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) as Chair of de African Regional At-Large Organization (AFRALO), during the period 2012-2016, and as a member of the ICANN Nominating Committee between 2018 and 2019. He is currently AFRALO Vice Chair and NAIGF MAG and Arab IGF member.
 
Mr. Hilali also contributed to ICANN Academy by recording a course on Internet Governance (IG) of 8 sessions of one hour and 45 minutes each. This course is followed by several participants French-speaking. He is also a lecturer of [[Internet Governance]] at universities and high schools in Morocco and Mediterranean countries.
At the regional level, Mr. Hilali is currently the President of the Mediterranean Federation of Internet Associations (FMAI) founded in 2007 whose head office is in Tunis. Open to all Internet associations in Mediterranean countries, its mission is to encourage the application of technical progress in the field of Information and Communication Technologies to economic and social progress in the Mediterranean region.
