- Lucy Ventures, LLC- The company is located in New York and its main objective in applying for the TLD is to a trusted, hierarchical, and intuitive online marketplace for gift-related products, services, and information. The company plans to sell .gifts domain names through ICANN accredited registrars and to reserve and auction premium domain names. Afilias will provide its back-end registry services.[3]

On the 3rd July 2014, Donuts received a Registry Agreement signed by ICANN for .gifts after passing the Initial Evaluation.[5]

.gifts was delegated to the Root Zone of the DNS on the 8th August, 2014, completing the successful application for the string.[6]
Sunrise[edit | edit source]
The Registry announced that the Sunrise Period for the string would begin on the 2nd September 2014 and end on the 1st November 2014.[7]
