Wanda M. Pérez Peña has been an independent ICT Consultant as well as the Networking Academy Coordinator for INTEC, aka the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.[1] One of her roles at INTEC is to coordinate the University's CISCO CA/ASC/ITC Center at INTEC in the Dominican Republic, as well as local and regional events.[2]

She has also been affiliated with ICANN through LACNIC; since 2011, she has helped with the coordination of a local IPv6 Task Force. She also contributes to the IGF in the Dominican Republic and is co-lidering the creation of an ISOC chapter at the Dominican Republic and also the insertion of it in At-Large through LACRALO.[2]

She has more than 15 years of experience in the Telecommunication Sector and has worked for civil organizations, telecommunications enterprises, and educational organizations, in a wide array of technical and administrative functions.[1]

ICANN 51 in Los Angeles was Peña's first ICANN Meeting; she has also attended INET and LACNIC.[2]
