Ken Fockler is the Founder and President of Tenac Consulting.[1]

Education

Ken graduated from the University of Toronto in 1961 with degrees in Engineering and Physics.[2]

Career History

Prior to founding Tenac in 1997, Fockler was the president of CA*net Networking Inc, a federally incorporated non-profit organization of regional networks that came together to create and manage a national backbone network in Canada. He has also worked with IBM Canada Ltd., assisted in the foundation of NetNorth in 1984, and in establishing CAIP in 1996, where he then served as the first chairman and President.[3]

From 1992 to 1997 he served on the board of directors of CANARIE, the Canadian Network for the Advancement of Research, Industry and Education. He also served a one year term on the board of ARIN, followed by another year as Treasurer. In 1999, Ken served on a Panel of Experts for WIPO, the World Intellectual Property Organization. [4] He served at ICANN board from October 1999 to September 2001.[5]

Awards and Honors

For his outstanding contribution to the Canadian Telecommunications Industry, he received and award from CBTA in 1996.[6]
