Ruth Puente is the GAC Secretariat. She is originally from Uruguay but moved to the Netherlands as she took up her current position in early 2011.^[1]

She was previously LACNIC's External Relations Officer, where she was responsible for communication and membership services.^[2]

Education

Ms. Puente holds a degree in International Relations from the University of the Republic. She took Internet Governance Capacity Building Programme (IGCPB) in 2008. Ginger Paque, Biljana Gilsovic and Alfonso Avila were some of her tutors.^[3]

Career History

Puente has served as the Membership Liaison at LACTLD. She has also worked as an Account Executive at RAS Group, which is an International Freight Forwarder.
