During his working experience, Mario Teza occupied the following positions:

- Founder and member of the Free Software Project of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil Free Software Project [3]
- The founder of the international NGO Hypatia
- Founder of Livre.org Software Association.[4]
Membership
He is a member of CIG.br and of the Consortium of Free Software Developers and Users in Latin America and the Caribbean of UNESCO.
Mario Teza and ICANN
Being a member of the CGI.br, Mario Teza must also stay informed regarding the development achieved by the ICANN, thus attending the ICANN meetings. According to publications, in 2005 Mario Teza attended an ICANN meeting along with a larger Brazilian delegation. [5] This proves his membership within CGI.br and ICANN.
