Shane Tews is the Vice President of the G0lobal Public Policy relations at VeriSign. She is also the Senior Washington Representative at VeriSign. She has been working at VeriSign since 2001. [1]
Ms. Tews is a member of the board for Internet Caucus Advisory Counsel, a council with information on the latest IT communications as well as training.[2] She is also a member of the board of directors at ITIF.[3]
Career History
Before she joined VeriSign she was a member as well as the senior representative in the Distilled Sprits Council working as a lobbyist to improve Government implementations such as taxation, the ads, as well as many other regulatory issues.
She has also been apart of an economical group focusing on the fundamentals of how the economy should be working as a whole. Ms. Tews was the Staff Assistant to the Secretary for Advance and Scheduling at US Department of Transportation and Staff Assistant for President George Bush President.[4]
She was a panelist in the "Who Will Govern the Net in 2020?" panel at TechFreedom's Next Digital Decade book launch conference in Washington, DC on January 19, 2011.[5] The video of this panel can be viewed here.
Ms. Tews was a panelist at IGIF 2010 Workshops.[6]
Education
She graduated in 1988 from the American University in D.C.[7] She is from Lincoln, Nebraska.[8]
