During his senior year in high school, Bill was among the students chosen to participate in the Boys Nation, a special youth leadership conference in Washington D.C. who meet President John F. Kennedy at the White House. Meeting President Kennedy was one of his most important and memorable experience and it served as an inspiration for him to become President of the United States and serve his countrymen. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. also inspired Bill particularly his "I Have a Dream" speech.
