In 2008, Hue was appointed Asian Representative of ICANN's advisory committee. She is the former country representative and legal specialist for the Global Internet Policy Initiative (GIPI) in Vietnam. She is also founder and director of the Center for Marinelife Conservation and Community Development (MCD).[2]

Nguyen is known for her work regarding technology for development, ICT in microfinance, gender enhancement, media development support, and ICT policy. [3]
