PuntoGal Association is an organization working on achieving a new TLD .gal for representation Galician community. The aim is use the .gal by Galician websites for bonding Galicians present around the world.[1] Inspired by .cat (registered to Catalan community by ICANN) Galicians are striving to have more visibility of their language and culture on the internet.[2]

PuntoGal association was created in 2006 to realize the dream of having .gal domain.[3] For the past 5 years, the association is active in ICANN activities and meetings to better represent their proposal.[4] PuntoGal presented their agenda on 10th ICANN Studienkreis meeting held in January 2010 in Barcelona.[5]

Supporters
