.tokyo is a new geographical TLD proposed by GMO Registry, Inc., a subsidiary company of GMO Internet Group and it is dedicated in providing domain registry management services for new gTLDs. According to a report, the company's plan to submit an application for .tokyo string is supported by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. [1]
