.quebec is a new geographical TLD proposed to ICANN's New gTLD Program by PointQuébec, a non-profit organization. The organizations aims to improve the businesses, culture, tourism and the online identity of the Quebec and Quebecers through the .quebec TLD.[1] The application for the .quebec string is supported by the Quebec National Assembly.
