PointQuébec is a non-profit organization committed to developing and applying for the .quebec geographical TLD with ICANN's New gTLD Program and to serve as its registry operator. The organization's primary objective is to help the Government of Quebec rapidly improve internet development within the region. PointQuébec's initiative to acquire, develop and operate the .quebec string is supported by the Quebec National Assembly.[1]
