.mii is a Brand TLD being proposed in ICANN's New gTLD Program. The applicant is MiTek USA, Inc.[1] Mitek does not appear to have selected a registry provider nor created a plan for implementation, as the responses to all public registry questions only state: "TLD will not be resold. Purchased for brand protection only." It is also applying for .mitek and .sapphire and .connectors.
The application was later rejected by ICANN by the String Similarity Panel given the strings confusing appearance to the already existant .mil, a TLD exclusively used by the U.S. military.[2]
